History
The Sultan Ibrahim Building, also known as Bangunan Sultan Ibrahim, served as the former administrative building for the Johor State Setia. Located on Bukit Timbalan in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia, it was constructed between 1936 and 1939. The building was completed in 1940 as part of the British colonial government's efforts to streamline state administration.
Significance
The building used to serve as the chief minister's office building and the Johor state legislative assembly before it was relocated to Kota Iskandar.
Travel Tips
The Sultan Ibrahim building is only a 10 minute walk away from JOTIC. Be prepared for a climb.
