Johor's official state mosque
History
Masjid Negeri Sultan Abu Bakar, commonly known as Johor's state mosque, is a historical structure in Ledang Hill, which also views the Straits of Tebrau. It was built in 1892 and finished in 1900.
Significance
The mosque now serves as the official state mosque of Johor, and can accomodate around 3,000 worshippers at any one time. It is listed as a protected heritage monument by the Department of Museums and Antiquities.
