Today, the JBQR team had the privilege of meeting with the Deputy Director of MOTAC Johor, Deputy Director from Tourism Malaysia Southern Region, and Tourism Johor to present the JOHOR QR (JOHQR) initiative — a digital tourism platform designed to connect places, people, and culture through innovation. The discussion focused on how JOHQR can serve as a catalyst for statewide tourism transformation, while aligning closely with the principles of the MADANI Digital Economy framework — particularly in driving inclusivity, empowerment, and technology adoption across communities and SMEs. We’re proud to be contributing to Malaysia’s tourism digitalisation roadmap, and look forward to working with our government partners to unlock a smarter, more immersive travel experience across Johor.

English Machine Translation The initiative of the digital tourism ecosystem platform that excites city residents and tourists features 13 attractions in Johor Bahru and has successfully gathered 8,000 followers in just two months, with plans to expand to other districts in the state. The existence of JBQR allows the public to upload information about each attraction, and with the navigation feature, it is expected to boost the tourism sector, employment, and the local economy through the community platform provided.
